Fluffy

I’ve worked from home for years. In the past, I’ve had jobs with a lot of flexibility and enjoyed work-life balance and a little travel. Fast forward after a layoff from a dream job, covid, and growing a business, circumstances changed. Sitting around more and being less active caused me to gain weight. I call it fluff! I’m just a little fluffy right now.

A major priority for me is to lose this weight. I’m dedicated to working out at least 30 minutes a day and working my way up. My goal is to move every day. To close my laptop, get out of my chair, and move my body until I sweat and shed this fluff. For my mental health movement is crucial. Simply feeling the sun on my skin and feeling the breeze can change my day so actually leaving the house is important. Movement is important for my mind and body and also for my business. Yep, that’s right. Photography can be very physical. I literally found myself running through a park recently. I’m often on the floor or ground, lifting heavy backdrops, and carrying equipment. I need tons of flexibility and energy on a shoot day and the healthier I am the better I can help my clients.
