Start.
Today is a great day to start. Start what you may ask. Start the things you’ve been putting off or scared to pursue. If you’ve been doing some soul searching and thinking there has to be more to life than this, start thinking about what makes you happy. Write it down. Can you turn this into a business or new hobby? If so, how? You don’t have to have it all figured out today. Simply writing it down or texting it to yourself is enough for today. Tomorrow, come back to the list and start adding or removing ideas. You’ll be amazed at how your ideas just flow! You have all the answers within, you just have to get them out or as I like to say, throw them on the wall and look at them!

Affirm Photography empowers women through visual art (photography). Each session is customized for my clients. During my sessions, I like to get to my subject on a deeper level. I already know a little bit based on their initial consultation but being in their presence is completely different. I often make some decisions based on the vibe or energy of the session. I initially have a plan but sometimes plans are meant to be broken! Many women have come away saying they felt beautiful, gained confidence, have a new appreciation for their body, and other self-affirming compliments! Being in front of the camera can get addictive and I enjoy repeat clients! I love to capture what I see through my lens and present that visual art back to the client. This is Affirm Apparel is my clothing brand. Originally started in 2017 and recently launched this summer. What took so long? Well, it’s a long story! One day I will share the details of that journey with upcoming entrepreneurs and hopefully, I’ll be in a place to help fund their dreams. All products on the site are custom and designed in house. I want people to wear and see positive images and messages that feature people that look like me. I also wanted to support causes that bring awareness to the issues that affect people who look like me. You will find that my products support the same issues I’m passionate about on thisisallison.com (i.e. sobriety, body positivity, black lives, awareness, etc).
