The Healthy Benefits of Running
I never thought running was for me… until I started doing it and realized the healthy benefits of running. Not only is running a great workout and heart healthy, to me— it’s spiritual.
I lace up, stretch, turn on my watch and music, and hit the pavement. About 5 minutes in, I’m lost. Lost in my thoughts, lost in the music, lost in the beautiful scenery if I’m outdoors. I feel one with nature and the universe.
While running I realize what my body is capable of. I am always more capable than I imagine. When my run is over I feel relieved. It’s not because it’s over, but because I’ve cleared my mind and released endorphins. I hope you find your reason to start running today!
